I got a plug in that can fake HDR images form only one JPEG. Until the real HDR software arrives in the mail, it will have to do. These are pretty rough, but it'll get it right with practice.
I'm sure the purist will say that using PS and various Plug-ins is cheating and played out. Whatever, smell it. By the way, the shot of the bridge girders was taken by Kim G.
Internet was down a while (stupid Charter) anyway, here's some pics form Holcomb Valley New Years Eve 2007. Oh yeah, that's Amy gettin' down in the black truck. Infact, she drove the whole trail, ice, snow, mud and all.
I dug up this little gem form T's bachelor party. I think Don was saying, "I can somehow suspend the propane bottle above the campfire, then we could just use a slug to hit it." Todd looks like he just wants to bayonet someone.
Took mom up to Mormon Rocks on Monday. The plan was to rappel the "bunny slopes" but after the trek from the west side (RR workers were in my usual parking spot), Mom was a bit apprehensive about sliding down a rope. I worked out though because I forgot the rope. It was a nice day either way.
Took mom and sis to Zion for their inaugural visit. It was a quick trip (3 days) but there was time to drag them up to Angels Landing. Later, mom, sis and I put a way a pitcher of some local apricot heffewizen. Oh man, it was a good trip.
Hen I posted, Wal-Mart on the south side of 215 fwy and the Starbucks strip mall where both closed. The fire had jump the 215 and both north and south bound traffic had been stopped. The 15 fwy through Cajon pass is also shut down. According the Forest Service IC they may get an air unit into Arrowhead before sundown. The Incident commander said if they can get a helicopter, they might have a chance at stopping the Grass Fire. It's still windy and expected to remain so through the night.
“One time a cop pulled me over for running a stop sign. He said, 'Didn't you see the stop sign?' I said, 'Yeah, but I don't believe everything I read'”
